Data-AI-Experience (DAX) Challenge 2026 is a datathon competition organized by the Pusat Sains Matematik (PSM), dan Matelites PSM, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) . The competition provides a platform for students to apply Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to solve real-world challenges through data-driven innovation.

Guided by the theme “Integrating Data and AI for a Sustainable Pahang”, participants will work with authentic datasets related to road safety, economy, food security, and water sustainability. Teams are required to analyse the provided data, identify meaningful insights, and develop innovative data-driven solutions. As part of the competition, participants are required to submit an interactive dashboard, a presentation video, and a technical report showcasing their methodology, analysis, findings, and proposed solutions.

Throughout the competition, participants will attend a briefing and workshop, complete a qualification round, and shortlisted teams will advance to the final round, where they will present their solutions before a panel of judges. This hands-on experience strengthens participants’ analytical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, data storytelling, and presentation skills while preparing them for the growing demands of the data and AI industry.
